Brake Press Operator (1800T)

We seek an experienced and skilled CNC Brake Press Operator with prior experience programming and operating a large brake press machine in a fast paced work environment. Brake press that you would be operating is 1800T.
Job duties and requirements include:

  • Ideal candidate has between 5-10 years recent experience
  • Strong skills in operating machinery with a variety of different metals, an understanding of bend allowances, and proper/safe, press setup
  • Setup, basic equipment maintenance, calibration
  • Able to work from blueprints, strong computer skills
  • Produce quality work that passes inspection using a variety of measuring equipment
  • Keep work area including punches, dies, and accessories, tidy and maintained
  • Forklift and overhead crane use required; current/prior certification is a plus
  • Good communication skills are needed

Shipper Receiver Material Handler

For this full-time position, job know-how is what you bring to the table as well as superior forklift skills, a willingness to work with people to help them get what they need, flexibility, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to keep things organized.
Job Details and Responsibilities include:

  • Safely and skillfully operate forklift, other equipment to transport goods such as steel plate, long length extrusion, boxed goods, and other items.
  • Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems along with weekly and monthly inventory counts.
  • Know safe storage and handling procedures for chemicals and materials.
  • Communicate with other staff on priority items via radio, email, telephone.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and using Quickbooks will be required (some in-house training provided).
  • Current Forklift certification required.

Brake Press and CNC Plasma Shop Helper

  • Experience Needed: 1 year or more in a steel fabrication company. Preferred experience: 1 year assisting with set up, or operation of a CNC Brake Press, CNC Plasma equipment, or other metal work machines.
  • Specific Skills: Assist in the layout, set up and operation of one or more light or heavy metalworking machines. Help select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist. Keep work area tidy.
  • Requirements: Steel-toed safety boots. Forklift ticket preferred. OH Crane certification an asset.
